It was my brother, Edward, buying a holiday home in the beautiful southern state of Florida in 1999 that first enticed us to take our daughters to visit the glorious sunshine state.
After years of taking holidays to the Mediterranean, and absolutely loving it, we really couldn’t understand all the fuss Edward made about Florida – that is until we went ourselves!
As well as year round sunshine, Orlando has more theme parks and attractions than anywhere else on Earth, along with world class golf courses, shopping and dining heaven, and some of the most beautiful beaches in America only an hour away, it is hardly surprising us British adore the place. Fuel in the US is a fraction of the price we pay in the UK, not to mention grocery shopping at supermarkets like Wal-Mart (part of the Asda group) being about half the price of home... need I say more? It was a bit of a no-brainer for us when deciding where to buy our second home.
We have made many good friends over the years, one of whom is now a business associate. Richard David started in real estate over ten years ago and in the last few years has become a major player in the property market in central Orlando.
